Marcel Ophuls, The Sorrow and the Pity


A roundtable discussion and clip projections of the film which has been recognized as one of the best documentaries ever made. The film documents the French collaboration, anti-Semitism, but also French resistance, during the WWII.


Roundtable Participants: Sylvie Blum, Eric Kligerman, Maureen Turim and Brigitte Weltman-Aron. 


Refreshments will be served.


The screening of the entire film The Sorrow and the Pity will be scheduled in the Center for Jewish Studies in the week preceding the event.
